About

Fellicia Cota M.A., ATR-BC

I am a Board Certified Art Therapist experienced with both  individual and group counseling for children, adolescents and adults. In addition to therapy, I offer in person and virtual painting classes to the surrounding communities.

I believe in the power of creativity and the healing that can be discovered through art therapy. Together, clients and I navigate through art mediums such as pencil, marker, collage, clay and paints to explore strengths and struggles that impact their internal and external worlds. It is through the process of art creation that progress can be found.

I am honored that you are exploring art therapy as a resource for you and/or your family’s needs. I look forward to beginning the creative journey together.

Experience

Art Therapy in Schools and in the Community

For the past 15 years, I have had the pleasure of working with children and families in many roles and settings. The bulk of my experience includes supporting children and their needs with art therapy services in both school and community mental health settings. My private practice, Creative heART Counseling, LLC has been a lifelong goal, which came to life in 2017.

As my practice grew, I added additional services to the community including Zumba Kids Classes and Painting Classes for both children and adults. In 2020, my office relocated to a larger building which allowed me to share office space with additional therapists.

I continue to explore ways to expand the variety and quality of services offered to the community. Maintaining my professional memberships to the Art Therapy Credentials Board, the American Art Therapy Association and the Art Therapy Association of Vermont allows me opportunities to participate in local and national trainings.
